Come and enjoy the 58th Annual De Soto Days Festival for all kinds of entertainment, carnival rides, vendors, and tons of great food! The festivities start off at 10:00 am with the De Soto Days Parade. There is also a Car Cruise and a dog walk!

The Kansas City Irish Fest is celebrating their 20th year! There is no better way to celebrate your Celtic Pride than joining in on 20 bands on seven different stages, heritage workshops and displays, comedy shows, genealogy, a massive children’s area and so much more! The Kansas City Irish Fest is dedicated to promoting the culture, music, character and history of Ireland and of the Irish people who call Kansas City home.

The start of the holiday weekend also brings the start to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. Located in Bonner Springs you can come and immerse yourself in medieval garb at this annual celebration. Enjoy daily jousts, the marketplace, faire food, family-friendly activities, and some imaginative entertainment!

A special nighttime experience at the KC Zoo opens on September 1st! This experience is all about GloWild and features illuminated steel and silk works of art that portray animals, local landmarks and more. Come and enjoy a new way to light up your Labor Day weekend.

Located in Independence Square the Santa-Cali-Gon Days festival is a historic-inspired festival fill with loads of entertainment. The first Santa-Cali-Gon Days festival was held in 1940 to celebrate the unique heritage of the City of Independence as the starting point of the Santa Fe, California, and the Oregon Trails. It has grown into a live music show that demonstrate life in 1849 and attractions ranging from a beer garden to a cornhole competition.
